Things to do before I leave, part 2

During the middle of October of last year, I put together a list of Charleston things to do. Some friends suggested a few additions to my list.

I figure I'll give a Monday update on my progress:

  1. Go see the over-priced possibly over-hyped hunley.
  2. Make fish faces at the aquarium
  3. Go see something fun at the IMAX
  4. Sail somewhere fun before the boat's gone.
  5. Leave some mark
    1. Volunteer at a kid's clinic
    2. Habitat for Humanity?
    3. ?Coach a youth team
  6. Visit the Plantations:
    1. Magnolia Plantation
    2. Middleton Plantation
    3. Drayton Hall (yet another plantation)
    4. Boone Hall
    5. Tea Plantation
  7. Go see a Riverdogs baseball game
  8. Catch a couple of fish
  9. Play football on the Yorktown
  10. Go kayaking in the marshes
  11. Yell while the Charleston Battery plays some soccer
  12. Visit Charlestontown Landing
  13. Go shrimping
  14. Try oysters
  15. Visit Edward Rutledge's Grave
  16. Visit Fort Sumpter
  17. Take pictures at the Angel Oak (arguable the oldest thing this side of the Missisip.
  18. Ditto with Fort Moultrie
  19. Explore that other fort sitting in the middle of the harbor (Castle Pinckney)
  20. Learn to surf
  21. Take a picture at Palmetto Islands Co. Park
  22. Experience a Ghost Tour
  23. Figure out what’s at Pinckney National Historic Site
  24. Fort Lamar / Battle of Secessionville
  25. Hang out at Cypress Gardens in Goose Creek
  26. Graduate and "get outa here"

What, where's the real list?
ie. Throw firecrackers under a horse drawn carriage; or Waterski the Cooper River... nude. etc.

Those oysters have to be raw too. Fried oysters don't count.

While you're out watching events, how about attend the Family Cup tennis tournament?

What's a "Family Cup?" Sounds kinda personal if you ask me...
